Flap

Privacy policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

Flap does not collect, transmit or share any personal data.

Everything the app stores — your preferences, the days you have worked out, and your workout history — is kept on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server run by the developer. The developer cannot see any of it.

iCloud

So that your history survives a lost or replaced phone, the app copies it to your own iCloud account using Apple’s key-value storage. It is your iCloud, covered by Apple’s privacy policy, and only your devices signed in to it can read the copy. The developer has no access to it. Signing out of iCloud, or turning iCloud Drive off for Flap in Settings, stops this.

Health

If you turn on “Save workouts to Health”, the app writes finished workouts to Apple Health on your device. It never reads any health data. You can turn this off at any time in the app, or revoke it in Health under Sharing, then Apps.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules notifications on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Notifications are off until you turn them on, and the app only ever sends the reminder you set.

Apple Watch

If you use the watch app, your preferences and the days you have worked out are sent between your iPhone and your own Apple Watch, directly, using Apple’s device-to-device connection. Nothing goes to the developer or to any other server.

Analytics

There are none. No tracking, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs of any kind.

Tips

If you leave a tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. The app never sees your payment details, and a tip is not linked to anything else.

Children

Flap is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy as well, turn iCloud Drive off for Flap in Settings before you delete the app. Workouts already written to Apple Health belong to Health, not to Flap, and are deleted there.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
